Functional skills means learning the maths that you need to survive in the real world and developing the maths skills that you need to be able to use on a daily basis. This will include not just the basic numeracy skills but also how to calculate change, work out what bank statements mean, learn about metric units of measurement and many more skills that we all need.
All prospective Learners undertake an initial assessment and interview with the Tutor to establish suitability unless progressing between levels within the College.
All full time further education courses are free for UK and EU residents who are between 16 and 18. If you're 19 or over please click here for information on how we can help with fees and speak to one of our friendly advisors
