Taking Measurements and constructing basic blocks
Relating fabrics to style and planning lays
Research and design development for fashion
Professional practice
Surface Patterning
Introduction to Accessories (Bags)
Producing Pattern Adaptations
Manual Lay Planning
Manual Grading Techniques
Manual Pattern Drafting
Garment Review Process
Design Analysis and fashion trends in the ready to wear
Constructing basic blocks and patterns for children’s wear
Previous skills and evidence of qualifications at Level 2 (e.g. achievement of Level 2 Certificate in Fashion & Textiles or equivalent). You will be required to have an interview and complete an Initial Assessment, which will enable us to check that the course is suitable, This process will enable us to see what (if any) support you may need whilst on the course.
